Stir Me, Calm Me, Move Me
What is the power of art? Well in reality it has many powers, some changing over the years, but often it is the power to move our emotions, which draws us to art and compels our attention. How it does this, no one really knows, and in many ways does it matter? Yet, whatever the background of the artist, whatever yours, whatever the style, or medium, art is something which can pull hard at our emotions. Whether these be hidden, or out on our sleeves, or somewhere this is its power and the resonance created between us and it, wondrous. Here we have drawn on works from across the world, in very different style, to entice you emotions and feeling, will you swirl with Anis’ “Survival” or delve deep into the devilish “Blues” from Daithi Magner…whatever your choice, is it perhaps Rebellion or Freedom which can echo in us all?
